LAOHUN Raises Awareness on One Health Day and World Antimicrobial Awareness Week.

🌐 EMPOWERING ONE HEALTH DAY AND WORLD WEEK ANTIBIOTIC AWARENESS: LAOHUN'S BEAUTIFUL CELEBRATION MAKES A LAST IMPACT!

We are excited to recount the great success of our recent LAOHUN celebration during Raising Awareness of One Health Day and World Antimicrobial Awareness Week! 🎉 Held at the University of Health Sciences, Dong Pho Si Campus, which was held on November 28, 2023, and included the dissemination of knowledge, and the unwavering commitment to promoting one health work in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Dr. Bounthom Somontry, The president of UHS, Professor Mayfong Mayxay, vice president of UHS and President of LAOHUN, Dr. Thipphason Visaysouk, Adviser on Infectious Diseases and Disability Development from USAID, along with representatives from DCD, WHO. , NAHL, TPHI, and LOMWRU, as well as professors and students from NUoL, UHS, SU, CU, and SKU.

In the event, there was a presentation on the challenges of using antibiotics against antibiotics in Laos, the progress of One Health taskforce in the public health sector, the history of Lao One Health Network and the introduction of the student club, along with a question and answer competition about One Health and Antimicrobials among students.

The event was a lively platform for collaborative discussion, bringing together a diverse group of professionals, educators, and students. There are 184 people onsite and 28 people on virtual (zoom) .
